How to Cure Estrogen Dominance Naturally with Diet and Supplements

A great natural remedy for endometriosis symptomsI began asking, “How do you treat estrogen dominance symptoms naturally?” when I found out the cause of endometriosis was estrogen dominance. I googled “estrogen dominance symptoms” and found I had over a third of the 40 symptoms. I discovered Female Balance by NOW to dramatically improve my health after experiencing symptoms of estrogen dominance for several years.

Treat Estrogen dominance naturally with Diet changes

For 11 years now, we’ve followed the Blood Type Diet. Recently in the past 3 years it’s risen to a more detailed diet called the Genotype Diet which is based not just on your blood type but your genetics as well.

I believe that this is the reason I never gained a lot of weight, which is a symptom of estrogen dominance and endometriosis. I found the wheat/white flour in breads, pastas, cakes and boxed foods instantly packed the pounds on me. Taking the weight off is next to impossible.

Even taking the Female Balance product, I still have to be cautious about what I eat. I struggle some with ovulation still. My pain varies from month to month depending on what I’ve eaten. I can’t eat ANY wheat products at all. Instead, we use spelt, a cousin to wheat, but I can only have it occasionally.

Sugar is a HUGE no-no. Think about how much you eat that contains sugar. At first most people think they don’t get much sugar. Well, you’re probably thinking candy as sugar. What about your coffee? Donut? Soda? Ice cream? Cake? Breads (yes, they have sugar… read your labels), the list is endless. Only fruits with natural sugars are safe, and depending on your blood type, some of those should be avoided.

Why is estrogen dominance a problem in the first place?

If I eat healthy, natural food why do I have it?

Everything we buy at the store from the dairy products, to eggs, to all meats are so laced with hormones they destroy our bodies. If you are a meat eater, buy hormone/pesticide-free and grass-fed meat. Since it is so expensive, we have started raising our own beef and mutton.

I 100% agree with the no hormones in your meat idea. I can’t stand the idea of what we put into animals that are factory-farmed and inevitably end up on our plates, and that’s the least of what happens to those animals. I wish I had the outdoor space, stomach, and butcher skill to raise and slaughter my own grass-fed animals, I’d probably be a lot healthier if I did.

I dunno how well the blood type diet works; I’m a little skeptical of just why fixing blood glucose level would in any way affect how much of a hormone your body naturally secretes. I personally think any health benefit the blood type diet has comes from cutting out things like salt, too much sugar, too much fat, etc., but that’s just me – I’m a skeptic. However, we can all benefit from a healthy diet and active lifestyle, and cutting down on your sugar and salt intake is always a good idea.

I think there should be a law requiring that all factory farms label that they have put hormones in their meat, and if they fail to comply they have to pay a fine and cannot operate for a while. It’s time for us meat-eaters (of all stripes, doesn’t matter if you only eat poultry and fish, or if you eat the entirety of Kingdom Animalia) to say “Enough’s enough, give us the straight dope in regards to our food, and raise our food to be happy and healthy and allow them to live their lives from birth to slaughter the way nature intended.” Not only are the hormones they put in the meat terrible for us, the way they treat those animals is often quite cruel and very unnecessary. I prefer to buy from local, small-farm butchers – at least I then know that someone put care and effort into raising that animal for slaughter, and actually let the animal live out its natural life before it’s taken from them. Plus, it’s great for us, too – meat, eggs, dairy products, and other edibles taken from a happy, healthy animal just taste that much better than those from a factory-farmed one.

Hi Invisible_Jester89, blood sugar level is a direct link to hormone levels in our bodies. When blood sugar is high, our systems respond by producing more insulin. Insulin is a hormone. The constant presence of high levels of insulin in the bloodstream means that our bodies are constantly barraged by this hormone. This type of hormone imbalance causes a chain reaction. I am convinced that high blood sugar, more importantly insulin resistance (when the body produces more and more insulin because it becomes ineffective), is the cause of most ailments Americans battles.
